Airport Brindisi (BDS)
Brindisi Airport, with the official full name Aeroporto di Brindisi-Casale, opened in 1923. It is an important airport in the handling of commercial air traffic in the Apulia region in Italy. Until 2005 the military use of the airport was in the foreground, whereas today it is under the control of the civil aviation authority. The airport is served by, among others, the largest Italian airline Alitalia and the Dutch KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.
